School Project "If there is bread, there is a song"

Within the framework of Bulgarian – Austrian educational project TOUR-REG, in 2006/2007 school year Professional High School of Tourism – Gabrovo carried out a school project “If there is bread, there is a song”.

Project purpose Presenting Professional School Achievements in the sphere of vocational training by publishing a book for ritual bread.

Project assignment – Diana Ivanova

Project manager – Penka Penenva

Teachers Team – Dora Mircheva, Nedelya Koleva, Parashkeva Boeva, Valya Gigova, Petya Palevska

Students Team – students from “Technics and Bread Technology” and “Production of Confectionery”

Assistant – Ivanka Lilova – ethnographer in Etar Open Art Museum.

Results:

        -         developing teachers and students carrying out projects – skills

        -         twenty students from Professional High School of Tourism participated in producing ritual breads.

        -         Ritual breads exhibition was organized in December 2006

        -         Advertising Professional High School of Tourism

        -         New school donors

        -         Drawing tourist companies attention

        -         publishing a book “Bread and Rituals” dedicated to 44^th anniversary of the school.
